About PACE

The idea behind the PACE project is to help spread simple solutions to environmental problems between communities. From fuel-saving stoves to rainwater-harvesting, compost making to forest product certification, the project aims to share information about the environment and the very practical ways in which people are addressing common environmental problems. Somebody somewhere has found a solution!

Watch the film, bringing news from inspiring projects from around the continent, read the book - Africa Our Home - and use the Action Sheets and PACE directory to investigate the techniques and issues covered. Parts of the PACE resource pack are free to download through this website. If you’d like to view the films or share the resources as part of an education project, please contact us on pace@siren.org.uk to find out more.

The PACE project is about sharing solutions to environmental problems and the PACE resource pack is just the start of a process - you are invited to join the PACE Forum to have your say about the PACE materials and add your own ideas. Outside Africa, the PACE materials can be used in Global Citizenship Education and to support international partnerships between schools. Each topic includes ideas for educational activities to use with schools and community groups.
