We are super excited to be completing a new Activity book with Rwanda Wildlife Conservation Association. It’s designed specifically for RWCA’s wonderful Kids Conservation Clubs. The clubs have the Africa our Home book and PACE species booklets on mountain gorillas, pangolin, vultures and okapi – and they will soon have new resources that we are producing together, on grey crowned cranes, wetlands and bats.
RWCA wanted a workbook that each child can call their own, to take home, write in, and draw in, one that included local language, local species and case studies. They will print it in Kigali. It’s designed to help the kids in rural areas, and their mentors, who are all desperately short of learning materials, to get the most out of the core PACE resources and to support the kids school work at the same time: language skills, comprehension, observation, empathy, collaboration, art. Education is the way forward, and we want the best possible for our young conservation champions!
